City of Westminster College takes the top spot at this year’s Planet Earth Games

The winners of the Planet Earth Games have been announced, and City of Westminster College took first prize in the FE college category. After careful planning and weeks of exciting, action-packed activities, students and staff have shown the power of community when uniting together for the planet.

Planet Earth Games is the UK’s biggest eco-friendly competition for colleges. Across the nation, students and staff must create activities that engage people with the environment and the outdoors, ranging from plant-based eating to community clean-ups.

City of Westminster College’s Planet Earth Games included Bottles to Beacons, a workshop transforming used bottles into ornaments, Health and Wellbeing Indoor Games, a series of games designed to enhance mood and physical fitness, Seven Day Salad, encouraging consistent healthy eating, Barnyard Bonding, which involved a visit to Mudchute farm, and Seal the Chill, teaching people how to make their own draught excluders.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the competition this year.
