Consent workshop with Andra Love

Andra Love and Latoyah Payne attended the College of North West London and City of Westminster College this month to facilitate a session on Consent vs Coercion with the students.

This was an interactive session which allowed the students to explore the everyday dilemma's they may face in their practice and personal life.

Andra and Latoya delivered an interesting and engaging session on what healthy relationships might look like, and signs to look out for that may show that you are not in a healthy relationship. This was informative and relatable for some of the audience, and they showed a strong level of understanding by the end of the session.

Love languages and attachment styles were one of the discussion topics that captured the student’s attention. As this was discussed, the information was broken down and gave the students an opportunity to think about what their own ‘love language’ and attachment styles are.

The students interacted with the speakers by asking and answering questions.

Andra Love recently published a book called 'I want to know what Love is?' The book was inspired by her survival of years in abusive relationships and how she discovered the keys to unlocking the cycles of unhealthy relationships and attachments, which eventually caused her to triumph. Her main aim is to support women on their healing journey. Andra is a relationship and singles Coach, with a wealth of experience working with abused women and children. Andra is also a qualified Social Worker with a wealth of experience in child protection and adult safeguarding she has worked in some of the most diverse boroughs in London where she has worked as a Team Manager.
